What Envy Taught Me
I have envied all my life. Wanting all the things other people had that I believed would somehow make me more worthy, more lovable, more enough. Thinner.Braver.Stronger.Powerful.Articulate.Athletic.Patient.Better at sports, golf, business, conversation, life. I spent...
Motherhood: I’d Do It All Again, I’d Just Do It Differently
I had two boys, one vaginally and one by C-section. I wouldn’t trade either experience for anything. I will never forget the overwhelming love I felt holding each of them for the first time, lying in that hospital bed, just the two of us, looking into each other’s...
When the Harm Isn’t Touch, It’s Words
I don’t have any recollection of a time when I was touched without consent. I’ve thought about it. I’ve really looked. Nothing. I know that’s not the story many women carry, and I don’t take that lightly. But when I dug deeper, what kept coming up for me wasn’t touch....
Returning to the Bodysex Circle
I attended my second Bodysex® retreat with Simone Farshi in Nevada City, California. While it was my fourth Bodysex experience overall, it was the first time I moved between roles, first as a participant and then as a Certified Bodysex Facilitator assisting the...
A Date with Myself
I could hardly wait for my date with myself, a part of my Bodysex Lite homework assignment with Laura Bogush. The assignment was simple yet profound: plan a date with just me and use all my senses to savor the experience. With my husband out of town and a day off...
Hi, I’m Susan,
I’m endlessly curious about bodies, pleasure, anatomy, and the conversations most people spend a lifetime avoiding.
I help women and vulva owners build body confidence, explore sensuality, orgasm, and understand the bodies they’ve been living in their entire lives but may never have really been taught about.
I’m a Certified Bodysex Facilitator.
What is BODYSEX, you ask?
Ohhhh… I’m glad you asked.
Bodysex is about women getting curious about their bodies, pleasure, anatomy, and orgasm in a way most of us were never taught. It’s honest, educational, body-positive, and YES, THE RETREATS ARE NUDE!!!
Naked women talking about bodies, learning about vulvas, exploring different techniques, and having the opportunity to practice together in a group setting.
We talk about things many of us were never taught, like women get hard-ons too! Our erectile tissue needs time to become fully aroused, just like men’s does. We let go of some of the bullshit we’ve been taught about how we’re supposed to look and get curious about our own pleasure.
Needless to say, I found my people.
I’m also trained in the Somatica Sex & Relationship Coaching Method, and I’m endlessly fascinated by what happens when we start talking openly about bodies, desire, pleasure, and the things we were taught to keep quiet.
But there’s a lot more to me than what I do.
I love wine. Red wine. Okay, RED Zinfandel. It’s a lot like me, smoky, spicy, deep, playful, and not particularly interested in being subtle.
Did I mention I like wine?
I love walking, traveling, connecting with people, and learning something I didn’t know yesterday. I also jump on a mini trampoline because I swear it moves my energy. Add headphones and good music and I’m bouncing, dancing, throwing my arms around to the beat, giving my neighbors something to talk about.
I’m ridiculously curious about sex toys. You have an itch? There’s a pretty good chance I can tell you what might help satisfy it. I love discovering what’s out there, figuring out why something works, and talking about pleasure without whispering about it.
That curiosity is a big part of how I ended up doing what I do.
When I’m not doing that, I’m probably dreaming up another project, planning my next adventure, or trying to figure out how to get home because I am incredibly directionally challenged.
I’d love to connect with you. Let’s chat and see if this could change your life. I know it changed mine.
Thank you,
Susan
