Yesterday, I planned today like it was going to run as if it were a well-oiled machine.
It did not. By 9.45am I was sitting across town in my car crying. I put a Simon Sinek “8 Minute Call” text out to my bestie. That 16-minute conversation (I talk a lot!) made things a little better. I was a little less overwhelmed. I could drive my car safely to my next carefully timed task, in a day filled with tasks… as well as, a fortunately and perfectly timed visit from a long term FWB (Friend With Benefits).
Little did I know how my time with my long term FWB was going to turn my day around. And thank the universe’s energy (or whatever you want to call it) for that wonderful piece of timing, of planning time for pleasure in my day. When he arrived, I told him how my day had been… it had already occurred to me that the multiple orgasms I enjoy when we play might help me return to flow! After his visit, I did indeed return to flow. That’s no small feat given I’m experiencing a time of life when my living and financial situations are in flux; when my bestie can no longer live alone; when I am learning new skills; when I lost my house keys, when the electrician was a complete piece of work – in the worst possible way; and when I have to move house and can’t find anything suitable. You get the picture? How hard it might’ve been to find my flow again? And why? How did I find flow? Orgasms!
Orgasms are a survival tool. And they are so much more than that. They are vulnerability. They are a reset. They are release. They are a big exhalation. A sharp intake of breath. They are breathing deeply. They are more likely to happen when I’m not chasing anything, just welcoming sensation: caresses, kisses, smiles, eye contact. Today’s orgasms reset my nervous system. Recalibrated my emotions. Made me smile like a loon (that’s a good thing!). Allowed me to enjoy the sensations of an orgasm in a partner situation. I survived today and turned to face the future prepared to thrive.
And that thriving will happen irrespective of whether I have friends to play with or not. ‘Cos I have learnt the art and pleasure of independent orgasm. The quick tension release… the riding of the wave until my orgasms crash, one on top of the other in a whole body, out of brain experience. My orgasms are renewal as much as they are a survival tool.
